My mother-inlaw would like to break her lease in Virginia. She has been in and out of the hospital with in the last few months, because of this We as her family would like her to live closer so we can keep an eye on her. The senior complex she lives in is unwilling to release her from her lease. She is now living with my wife and myself. Her docter does not think it is safe for her to travel back to Virginia. What legal steps can we take to get her released from her lease.

well do you have a copy of the lease? well why not?

LOOK they are being asssssholes OK!

chances are all you have to pay is next months rent or lose the security deposit, because they cannot legally charge 2 people FULL rent on the same apartment.

So they are trying to SCAM you for money for the rest of the lease WHY?????????? because as soon as shes out someone will move in the next day..and since you live far away YOU WONT come back for a court date if you sue them
