Recently, my Colorado landlord who is also my roommate left me a message on my voicemail saying that she would allow me to break my lease early. So I moved out and now she is asking me for the next month's rent(which is the last month of the lease). Does she have the legal right to ask/sue for this?
Also, is it true that she can sue for twice as much rent?
