i was unemployed.i am an ohio homeowner/resident. i was offered a 6month temporary job (cunstruction) in michigan. i rented an apartment and signed a 6month lease. i have been told by the employer after 3months that i will be layed-off nent month (job is getting done faster than expected). i can not afford to continue to pay rent in michigan while unemployed and supporting a household in ohio.this is a large apartment community presently with lots of empty units as was when i moved in.what if anything can i do? thank you in advance!

Unless the employer signed a guarenteed 6 moths employment contract with you..

Then you could sue the employer, for breaking the contract

A lease is a lease, the best thing is to ask the landlord to start advertising the apartment and to re rent asap, then you would be off the hook for the rent.
