What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Georgia

Well, my brother and his idiot friend were out playing basketball while the family was out. According to him, he got 'bored' and he had to use the restroom, so the broke into the local middle school, a 5 minute walk from our home. He SAYS that he climbed into a window with the friend, and that a classroom door was open(Don't Janitors LOCK those?) He said that his friend found an envelope with money in there. The cops arrived shortly after, Pointing a gun at them, and told them to get on the ground.

According to my brother, they also cussed at him, laughed at him, and one of the cops told him that he'd be keeping an eye on my little brother, and that he wouldn't stop until he *EFFING* got him in jail, and if he didn't go this time, that he'd be sure to get him next time.

Also, later on, the police officer, when i CALMLY asked if he had any proof, he RUDELY stated: so what if i don't have proof? what are you going to do?'

help?PLEASE

Get your brother an attorney and keep your mouth shut. The police don't have to say anything to you.

Tell mom and dad to get the soon-to-be felon an attorney.

Eta...did anyone notice that this ****y young man never even asked a legitimate question?

Anyone else find it hilarious that the OP wants to know about proof when his brother was caught in a LOCKED school building with possessions not his own? I would say that is proof of a felony.

I have forgotten... who is the greater idiot? The idiot or the brother that follows the idiot?

Your brother was caught IN THE SCHOOL. What more proof do you want? Do you think it would only have counted if they found these two upright young men covered in chalkdust?

Sorry... showing my age... covered in Expo marker dust?

Aw... the police weren't nice to the felons they caught breaking into a school. They used mean words and ... gasp... swore at them. In fact, they even said that they would keep following them until they got a conviction.

I don't recall a "poor sweet baby" amendment to Georgia law, but I will look.
