I have 6 months left on a 1-year lease and I want to get out of it because my roomate has been stealing my stuff, wearing my clothes, and I think their may be drugs in his room. Is there anyway I can get out of the lease without paying anything or paying a minimal fee?

A: Yes; have the landlord give you a written release without requiring you to give him any dough.
