My situation is the same as last night, I am in a lease I don't want and the landlord won't allow us to break it even though we came to him 24 hours after signing it. Alright, now if I put up signs to try and get someone ot rent an apartment from this complex, does he have to put the first person to come through the door in my apartment so that I can break my lease, or do I have to bring someone there personally? And how do I know if he will actually put someone in there instead of in another apartment? Do I have any protection against this? I would also like to know if a lease that starts on the 3rd of Feb is already "in effect" as of today.
