I am in California, I rented a condo to a corporation, who then had an employee live in it, I also have a two year lease signed by the corp., well after 4 months the employee moved out. The lease said that if they move out before the two years, the corp. would still have to pay the difference between the amounts of months remaining, which in this case is 20 months. Can I go after the corp. for the rest of the rent?

YES you can just like any other deadbeat tenant.....

But have you sent a letter certified return reciept that the rent is due? And that you expect them to honor the lease?

I hope its NOT a dot com company or else you are screwed!

If it is ask them if they would like terminate the lease early and avoid litigation so you can re rent it, cause they wont pay and will go bankrupty and you will get SQUAT!
