What is the name of your state? NY
I am from NY and my mother's estate is still in probate. The property had to be sold to pay bills of the estate. The buyers and executors signed a contract to close the house "as is" and the closing date has passed. The buyers now claim more damage to the house and want to lower the price by $2000. Our lawyer wants $5000 retainer to fight this. The buyers were aware of all damage prior to the sale. Do we have any recourse ?
Thank you,
bsyposs
