broadcasting documentary abroad

Hi. I made a documentary and I want to privately distribute it in China and boradcast it in China. I know it is automatically copyrighted and I know that will be respected in China because they are sinatory of international treaty. But are there any other issues? Does it have to be registered abroad, for example?

Are you talking about the same China that thumbed it nose at the U.S. about all the software piracy that is prevelent there?
