st louis mo,while shopping at a department store boxes fell hitting me in the.i had a knot on my head and my glasses broke.the store will replace my glasses but wants me to pay them $41 for eye exam.i am disabled and on a fixed income.i feel they should pay for all of it .i did nothing wrong they had the boxes stacked to high.

Because of the negligence of the store, it sounds to me as tho you have a cause for a lawsuit against that store. I advise seeking an attorney, you usually can find one willing to give a free consult and he/she will tell you what your legal recourse would be.

If you don't want to go that far, try compromising with the store. i.e. you pay everything or I will seek legal action. See what happens, then you would know your answer.

Unless you are found to be negligent (you don't really say what your roll in the falling boxes is), you can prevail easily for all your out of pocket expenses.
