What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? VIRGINIA

I currently have signed a contract (IT CONTRACTOR) to work a job for 6 months through a staffing company. When I arrived onsite at the clients location, they advised me that the position was only for 13 weeks. Is my staffing company now obligated to pay me if the CLIENT decides not to renew my contract? Additionally, can I renegotiate my contract since they have broken it initially and are renewing it after 13 weeks for another 13 weeks? I keep asking for overtime to be paid out at time and a half, and my employer (staffing company) says I make too much money for that. Also, in terms of renegotiating and asking for Major Bank Holidays to be pto instead of taking a goose egg for that day, they will not let me renegotiate that either. Is there anything I can do?
