Three years ago, my son accidently broke
a neighbors house window. We left a note
saying he broke it. We heard nothing until
after the owner sold the house and moved
away. Now he would like to be re-imbursed.
Three years ago, it would have been cheaper
to repair. I was working then, now I'm not
because of a disability, no income. I feel I
should pay, but how much? The $200 he says
it took to replace the window?

Your homeowner's insurance MIGHT cover this, check with your agent. What was the neighbor's reason for waiting 3 years? And does he still have the receipts to show for the replacement?

Thanks for the response.
I don't know why the neighbor waited 3 years.
My homeowners insurance has $500 deductible.
And the neighbor does have the receipt.
I looked up RCW (Revised Code of Washington)
online! The law says he had 3 years to start
an action.
