i have owned 700 shares of sunw since 1995 through my full service broker. i have had an account there since the late 1970s.

since the shares fell from 65 to 10, he has never even called me. my last contact with him was in november 2000 when he recommended some buys.

shouldn't he have at least called me about this issue? do i have any recourse? can i force him to alert me to these issues in the future?

thanks, laura

Unless you have standing instructions for him to contact you at specific times or price points, he is under no obligation to hold your hand.

If you want him to contact you at specific times, then ask him. For example, "Would you call me if this stock drops below 8?".
