i am an ex employee of a major brokerage firm, and although
i left the firm i still maintained an account with them. they did
an unauthorized trade in my account because they closed
out a naked call position, because their system showed i
wasn't approved for that level of option trading. without so
much as a phone call, they closed the position out costing
me $2,000 because the options expired worthless 4 days
after the trade. the day of the trade, i called to dispute this
error, i spoke to 4 employees of the firm, yet no one
documented my dispute. i had to call 4 days later, for them
to finally open a file on my dispute. they are treating me like
a total idiot. this situation has caused me extreme mental anguish. i feel i'm being discriminated against because i am an ex employee. what legal action should i take? how does punitive
damages come into play (extreme mental duress). i live in NY.

Any time you open a brokerage account, you sign an arbitration agreement. You won't be able to file a lawsuit
