My employer decided not too pay me, Federal SubContractor. I filled a grievance. The grievance procedure was too go threw three levels. My filing-management it was denied then my rebuttal. All with in the guide lines of the Union Contract 10 days for out come. Well it's day 22 and the shop stewards have quit their positions because a conflict of interest with management. What can I say they love their golf and brown nosing with the management. I'm at the end of my rope with these people!!! And the Bullying and Intimidation is starting...... So now it's attorney time .Some would say go too the Labor Board, been their done that as they drag their feet for months on a ruling on a previous case with same group different contractor.
Knowing the system and been their done that. How do you find a Labor Attorney with out tipping your hand. I had a situation a number of years ago ( same group) different contractor, seeking counsel and I found out the hard way that this Good Ole Boys network of contractor puts the top labor attorneys on retainer. The first attorney I spoke with took my $175 for half hour console. Then 20 min into a half hour session he Say's "Can't help you!.... Then threw a anonymous typed letter I find out he's on retainer for the parent company. Things that I spoke about slowly changed over the next several weeks. So too speak they where tiding up.
So how do you interview a attorney with out letting on what your trying too do**.????? :confused:FLORIDA

You don't.

However, you might ask any prospective attorney whether he has or has had any relationship with your employer, before you discuss the details of your matter.

I was trying some tactful way around that**..Once asked.... do you or have you... are you now on retainer that sets every thing in motion. I realize attorneys are not too revile information, "But" a casual conversation could lead to " Hey George I had one of your employees in the other day asking me do I represent your firm"..Then what do you do when the foremen ask, are you know seeking counsel....? :confused:

When you call on the telephone to ask about a consultation, don't identify yourself. Make their relationship with the company one of your first questions.

3. Ask the person who answers your call, "Has this law office ever had a relationship with [your employer's name]?

4. If the answer is "yes" hang up and move on to the next attorney's phone number on your list, and repeat steps 2 and 3.

5. If step 4 above reoccurs, repeat steps 2 and 3 again.

6. If the answer is "no" ask for an appointment with an attorney for a consultation (you may feel free to identify yourself at this point).

7. Go to your consultation appointment at the designated time on the designated date and tell the attorney your story.

Does this clarify Zigner's suggestion?

Finally, why did you copy out Zigner's signature notes? (Just curious, seems a weird thing to do.)

But the problem is...... The company I work for is a Federal Sub Contractor about 6-8 down on the food chain. So if I call a attorney then I would have too ask him if he's dealt with in order these 6-8 companies.Not including all their suppliers,This is a Good Ole Boys net work. I not saying it can't be done, "But" theirs more too this than I written about.Trying too keep it in the bag so too speak till I can find that special attorney. It has too deal with Bullying-Harassment-Discrimination-Union Activities-Corporate Law- Federal Contract Law-and about another 6 items.

But when people call acting all paranoid and refusing to give their names and saying they are afraid we'll call the employer, I just give them the number for the lawyer referral service and wish them luck.

You must be a very rare person,I have been burned several time and "Yes' paranoid knowing what I have all ready been threw. Trying too find that special attorney is the problem. I guess their are desent people in this world. Thanks.... :)

Just did a quote per that page, I know how too get a attorney but this is way more complex than any one can amagine.Trying not too let out any more information than possible, I feel this could be in the ball park of a Enron**************....
