My 14 year old son was attacked at school with rocks and what we believe was dog feces. He alerted the teacher, and nothing was done. At the end of class, my son was pushed my the 'bully' and cornered by 4 of the 'bully's' friends (son states what was behind him was a steep hill, and the woods). My son took his (metal) belt off and swung it at the bully and hit him. The bully then proceeded to beat my son in the head. He suffered visual damage (bruising).
The school suspended both the bully and my son for 10 days.

What are our legal rights? It seems to me that the failure to intervene when the rocks were being thrown is the key here.

Have ya ever heard that two wrongs don't make a right?

Call the police.

Be prepared for the bully to press his own charges.
