I sold my company to a public company last year. The rest of the company has been doing very poorly, while my old company (running as a division) continues to do well. I am wondering what might be involved in trying to buy back my old company, or getting my new company to spin off the old company so as not to be burdened by the non-producing areas. What are the laws and where do I find them?
