Virginia, buyer picked his own home inspector and his own termite inspector....to inspect our home before buying it. He himself did a couple of walk throughs, including the morning before settlement. At closing he signed all papers and said all was fine. Now that he has bought the house, is moving in and having hardwood floors laid everywhere in place of the carpeting that is there now. He has claimed to have discovered termites and says that the entire basement walls and studs and all have to be replaced, could cost $11,000, etc. etc....no idea at this stage what he wants and/or expects, might even have an attorney. What if anything should we as sellers do or expect. We didn't know of any supposed pests nor do we still.

Frustrated with it all,
Jim
