I am buying a house (in Arkansas) from a family member and was wondering if it would be legal to use a regular bill of sale. I know there are lots of long confusing forms used in buying a new house, but this is not new and we have agreed on a price. Besides, this is someone I know I can trust and I will not be keeping anything currently in the house. I hope a bill of sale will do because if we have to get into contracts and binding agreements I think my head might explode!!
