What is the name of your state? Texas

Hello,

I have another question, I am currently paying through the nose on a leased vehicle. I was originally going to reaffirm this vehicle during my chapter 7 but now I have second thoughts. Would it be legal for me to puchase a new, lesser car right before filing chapter 7? I would like to go from a gas guzzling, SUV at $510 a month to something more like a Honda Accord or something half that payment with better milage. I am just not sure its legal. My credit is fine for now, but it won't be for much longer.

Of course, the SUV will be repo'ed.

Thanks,
Mark

That should be no problem. Most bk lawyers recommend you get transportation needs taken care of prior to filing.
