California. My current rent is $840 a month, it's been month to month since May 2003, I first moved in Nov 2002. Now I have received an offer letter, either sign a 3 month lease for 890 a month, 6 month for 865, or continue month to month at 990 a month. I thought there was a percent per year cap on increasing rent, something around 6%, is that correct?
