on 3/02/01 i was called to a dealership in response to an appication i filled out a week earlier to lease a car. i left in a van that night. i traded in my car for $1000 and paid $1300 down. I also gave $100 to the delaerships insurance guy who was there promising to bring in $300 more dollars on the 16th(which i wrote a postdated check for thay dont cash unless i dont bring the money in). i took the $300 in on time and the guy who sold me the car took it. i was dumb and didnt demand a receipt when he said he couldnt write one for me in his car recipt book for insuracne but promising me to give the cash to the insurance guy. he did my deal for me in which i gave his alot more money than that so i trusted him without a second thought. a few days later i got a letter saying my check bounced and an irate phone call from the insurance guy saying he never received the money. moving on a little the guy ended up getting fired and stole my money. he admitted it and they paid the insurance guy, but i have a returned check charge and bounced check charge not to mention it looks bad on my credit(i have no other bounced checks since im trying to keep my credit good since i dont have any, i dont have bad but i dont have any at all)moving on farther i was called in to sign a second contract and refused to sign a third saying i wanted to talk to someone about ir first which they ripped up and yelled at me about saying it was off if i didnt sign it then. what can i do? also they keep telling me this one campany is financing me and when i call them they dont have me in their system. i forced the car dealership to take my first payment so they cant use not paying against me. should i report them to someone? or is their a civil action i can take? thank you in response.
