I am trying to get divorced and I got the paperwork from the court and IT says that I need to just mail the form to My "Husband" and that is it. We have nothing to split up. We were married for 5 days. A drunken Vegas trip. YEah I know..STUPID! ANy way If I cannot find him to serve him...what do I need to do?? Just put a add in the paper where he lives? Then what would I do with the serve by mail paper?
I am going to send the papers to him at his address. Yet there is not a place for him to really sign anything. Is there suppose to be?? Does he need to do anything. OR is it good enough that I served him the papers by mail....and he does not argue the fact within a certain amount of time that he agrees by no answer. Is that correct?? I am doing this on my own and am very confused. I have gotten the papers...and typed them out. But do I need to serve him first?? OR do I need to file them with the court first? Then file them. Because it looks like they want the signed form sying that he was served by mail.
Please advise the proper way. Thanks ALOT! ****A****

My response:

Go get a book on the subject. There are too many items in your post that you are doing wrong, or need an explanation for.

A good book from the legal section of your local Barnes & Noble Bookstore will help you to go a long way from making simple mistakes, and what to do when you can't find him. Every time you make a mistake, you'll be taking two steps backwards. Do it right the first time.

Good luck to you.
