California 1031 Exchange question

What is the name of your state? California

I currently own a 4-plex in my home town and am thinking of selling. I want to 1031 exchange into an investment / vacation home in Maui, Hawaii. I understand that there are limitation and certain rules on 1031 exchanges for vacation homes but I was wondering if there was anybody out there that understands the 1031 exchange process and could elaborate on how it would work for selling in CA and buying in HI and qualifying it for a 1031 exchange.
