I have been married in California for a little over 4 months now. I filed a petition to get my then-fiancee here with me in the U.S. from another country a year ago. Within around 9 months, she was here. We got married in early January,2001. Unfortunately, things are working out right. She completely changed on me, leading me to believe that she never really loved me. Her parents and siblings are here in the U.S., and she's run away from me a couple of weeks ago and been living with them. Making things more comlicated for me, she is two months pregnant with my baby. If I file for divorce/annullment, what are the consequences for me? No property is involved, only an half-paid car that I purchased a year ago. Where should I start? How much will this cost me since I don't have much money? Is there a difference between filing for an annullment as opposed to divorce in California? Will she have the right to hide my baby from me when born? Will she be immediately deported (along with my unborn baby)? I am very desparate, so please any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. [email protected]
