What is the name of your state? California

Just curious, We have a tax preparer (EA). We donated A LOT of stuff. about $4500.00 worth.

I looked up values of comparable merchandise on ebay and used those as values. TO be on the safe side I took another 20% off.

She refused to put in the amount we told her. She would only put in $1700.00. I told her to put in the higher amount but she would not.

What should I do? I paid her in advance. I wanted to get my money back and go somewhere else.

Its impossible to comment without knowing what kind of items you donated and what value you placed on each item...sorry.

In general the price you could get at a yardsale for an item is a good rule of thumb for valuation.
