The name of my state: CA

My question: Representatives at my bank told me that it is mandated by California law to charge $5 a day for any account that is in default. Is this true? Can you explain how and when this happened and the exact details of the law? Thanks!

Most likely they are blowing steam up your skirt...

While I have not heard of this state law, chances are it is an individual bank fee that you agreed to pay when you signed up for their services...
