California Law....

In Augest my 17 yr old daughter became Pregnant by a 25 yr old man. He is now refusing to pay for my lost income and medical expenses. Since blood test were not done before termination he is willing to only pay 25% of the medical expenses. My real question is this. I chose at the time to deal with this on my own. Now it is Dec and the underlying crises has passed. He is taking no responseablity for his actions. Is it to late to take further action! If I decided to seek recover of damages in Small Claims what damages are my Daughter and I legally able to request and what type of evidence will I need to have.

I am sending him a letter and would like to be sure of my facts before I proceed.

In short.....no pregnancy,no DNA,...no charge.
No charge means no recovery,no recovery means your daughter needs sex education. If you want to sue someone for recovery of $$ lost......sue your daughter.....SHE is the one that laid down,SHE is the one that knew the risks,SHE is the only one that can get knocked-up in the situation,SHE is the one that did not insist on a condom.
Granted,it takes two to tango.....but in the end it takes only one to lay down and get poked.
