Ohio-May a calligrapher use copyrighted poetry, quotes, etc. to produce a product for a customer if it is not being mass produced? It would be hand lettered for one particular customer. Thank you.
No. The copyright protects the contents and is not limited as to the format. Your reproducing the copyrighted material in a different format (calligraphy) is still a violation of the holders rights.
