What is the name of your state? NY
I was convicted back in May of leaving trash in the hallway. I didn't do it, but some kids who did not like me filed a false report and lied. Before that, these kids would play their music loud 24/7 and I called Campus Safety probably 10 times on them. That's their motive of lying. The verdict was based on the fact that I was somewhat rude when replying to when a good date for the "court date" was. It was during final exams so I didn't need to be bothered with their nonsense. I also threatened to call the police on the janitors since they would make loud noise early in the morning (before the messes started happening). I told their boss of the noise.
Anyway, I appealed it and they accepted the appeal. The appeal trial will be sometime in September. I have a few questions:
1. The "Student Conduct Officer" (Judge, jury and executioner) from last trial will be there. He will say why he said I was guilty. What should I say to basically say, "hey you didn't do the trial by the book, why should we believe anything you say"
2. I had a messy room, and they'll bring that up. I'll say "oh yeah, I was the only student with a messy room I bet" and they'll say, "it was one of the messiest I've seen"... what should I say about that? They'll try and relate the mess in the hall to the mess in my room.
3. They will ask if I saw the messes in the hallway, I will say yes. They will then say, "well why didn't you pick up the messes or tell someone?" ... what should I say as a good defense to that?
4. I'll post the two student's statements (written) here later on and maybe someone can tell me what to say that will discredit or dispute their statements.
Thanks.
