tell you he doesn't want your guests to stay more than 3 days when the law says 2 weeks (I think)?
[wise ass remark; "he can say whatever he wants"], (thought I'd save you the trouble)
*#1* I should ask; could she legally enforce this or give her reason for any future eviction?

The couple is supposed to be out by a date the landlord had given a 60 day notice for, + a week or so to get it patched/painted/cleaned. I gave $1,500 deposit for the place with a receipt that I had her write in & initial that it be before a certain date. The date is under 30 days from the end of the legal lease. It has me a little concerned because the law might allow the tenant a 30 day eviction proccess.
*#2* Could this legally happen & what might you suggest I do before I give the signed lease & check? (from the short conversation I had, I figure one or both of the tenants might be a little unstable)

In the common areas she has restrictive keys where she only wants to give me one.
*#3* anyone know if it's legal to give & restrict a tenant to just 1 key?

I didn't want to get into any heated conversation because the place is a great find & lots of people would have taken it if I hadn't given a deposit then. I didn't press my luck...

*#4* Off hand, anyone know the law for the amount she could charge for security deposit? [is it 1.5 X months rent ? (N.J.)]

thanks a bunch in advance
I'm in the process of packing/storage/travel/going to live with family, so I hope to check back soon
