What is the name of your state? Washington. I am a single parent, on social security disability due to Having type one Diabetes for 40 years. My oldest son is also a disabled, brittle, type one diabetic. My 15 year old daughter was born with two major heart defects and has had numerous surgeries and procedures. We have life threatening emergencies going on in our home on a pretty regular basis. My daughter goes into V-tach with a heart rate between 240-270 and has to be transported to the hospital via ambulance. My 18 year old son is the only healthy person in our home. As such, he frequently has to help me with both his brother and sister. He has missed a lot of school and is not passing one of his required classes. I was contacted by the teacher about three weeks ago about this issue and she made an agreement with my son to allow him to pass her class so that he could graduate. He missed two days of school because he had an infectious illness and she is refusing to let him turn his completed work in so he can graduate. His school counselor has been aware of the situation in our home since he was a freshman and has done very little to help him. As a care taker for both his brother and sister does the ada law or any kind of disability law protect him at all?
