What is the name of your state? FL

Does an employee of a private company in the state of Florida have a right to view items in their personnel file, absent a state statute? i.e. are there any federal laws that may grant an employee access?

There are no Federal laws that mandate employees of private companies be granted access to their personnel file. Some states have such a law but Florida is not one of them.

In Florida, it is completely up to the employer whether to allow the employee access to their file or not and if so, what access is allowed.
