What is the name of your state? Oregon
can an employee put in cameras without telling thier employees? I have been asked about this from another worker because she had discovered that there may be some put in several different areas of our work stations (this is at a hospital). We dont really mind because we have nothing to hide but wonder if they can hear a personal conversation taking place when no one is around orjust to know if they can do this lol...i think they can but she says they cant without letting us know that there is one and that is why like 7-11 posts the sign at the intrance to say that you are being filmed? I think that signs like that are posted to keep would be robbers from robbing the stores but to be honest i have no idea what is legal or not on this matter. Thanks guys for being there!:p

as your co-worker where she got her law degree.

First, employees cannot place cameras in the workplace.

But, assumming you meant EMPLOYERS, yes they can, but no capture audio.
