can an employer fire an employee under doctors care

I work in a Oklahoma state Mental hospital and was wandering if my employer could fire someone whom is under care of a doctor

Just because someone is under a doctor's care does not give the person lifetime employment. But there may be oher reasons why they can't like under a state or Federal Americans with Disabilities Act.
