What is the name of your state? Massachusetts

I bought a 1998 Dodge Durango used 14 months ago and have driven it for ONLY 14,000 miles. Took it to the mechanic after hearing a noise and found out that it needed a new transmission. I payed and had him do that and found out that the truck did not even have the origional motor or transmission! They were both also missing parts. He told me to get rid of it ASAP because the motor is what killed the transmission and without replacing the motor for 5,000 it will kill the new transmission! Is there anything that can be done? I don't even know where to start looking for some resolution to this problem. I can't sell it...isn't that illegal to knowinginly sell a lemon?
