What is the name of your state? CO
The divorce and child support order are through Colorado. Father still lives in Colorado, mother and son live in another state. Can the mother ever change the child support order to a different state if the father doesn't consent? What if the father moves and neither parent lives in Colorado?

If niether party continues to reside in CO. Then the mother could petition to domesticate the order to her home state, in the future.

You may still petition for the case to be transfered to your new home state. He would have to object. Also how do you receive your support? Do you use the state system? If so then you should have informed them of your new residence at the time of the move. Hey I have a question for you, how did you get to move out of state with the child? That is my issue I am having...

jstlivin,

I am not the mother. I asked the question on behalf of my fiance, who is the father. My fiance gave the mother permission to move out of Colorado with their son. The child support is done through Colorado's system.

As long as the NCP remains in CO, the CS order will also remain in CO.
