What is the name of your state? Florida
I was at orientation today for this job that I was hired at and the head of security told us that our cars can be subject to being searched under probable cause. Example :
Someone says I have alcohol in my car and I am called outside, and I am supposed to let them search my car. I don't care if my car is on their property or not, the inside of a car is private property, how can they have the right to search it?
The reason why I ask is because I have a cocealed carry permit, but they say firearms aren't allowed on their property. Doesn't the fact that the inside of my car is considered private property mean that they wouldn't have the right to search it? I would really like to know what the law on this is?
