I'm in Wisconsin, I have 5 children. Recently, my 2 year old twins managed to escape the house one morning when everyone was still sleeping. Immediately when their father and I woke up and noticed they were missing, we called the police station, and they had us come down since they had the children. They informed us the children were there for an hour, and they had us meet with a CPS worker. She followed us to our home, where she came in and asked some questions. She told us to put higher locks on the doors (which we immediately did), and everything would be fine. A few days later, another worker called and said they were going to come talk to us. We excersised our rights, and spoke with her on the porch. We let her know that the locks were up and showed her. She saw the children and our home through the door, and said that everything looked fine and that she would be speaking with her supervisor to see if we needed further investigation. The problem is, we have had contact with CPS in the past for minor things such as, (Not being medicated for ADHD when I was pregnant), and their father calling on me for not driving 250 miles to bring them to him when we split up for a short time. No actions were taken after finding the children and home safe. Now, 6 months ago, their father and I got into a small physical altercation and there was literally a SCRATCH on him. I was charged with domestic abuse. I am on probation, following all stipulations. Can they look into the case and remove the children for this? Especially after they deemed everything fine at the last visit?
