What is the name of your state?Illinois

Today in court the judge really let my ex, and his attorney have it!
Little background:

Ex Quit job as a mechanic making 56,000.00 (w2 info) to make 13,000.00 as a mechanic being self employed (he made this decision 2 months after CS was put in place and after he put all his assets in a trust).....

The judge kept asking my ex's attorney if he knew that quitting his job is not sufficient reason for reduction in child support? (All of this happened behind closed doors my attorney told me this)
He also asked his attorney if he was aware of the fact that his client lied about his income when child support was first calculated (my ex stated that he only had one job, and had never worked another job- (proven false by 3 consecutive years of w2's)
His attorney told the judge after being questioned repeatedly about advising his client of the possible ramifications of being held in contempt....His attorney said he had advised his client and that his client was not being honest with him, so what could he do...... Needless to say reduction was denied (this wasn’t supposed to be heard until the next court date due to the indirect civil contempt being on the docket for that day, but the judge was pissed and denied it today) and CS will be based on 2004 income (w2 info) and he was held in contempt...He has been given 60 days to pay current his cs and pay attorneys fees (mine)....

Does it seem odd that the judge would go after his attorney for his lies??? His attorney was so mad his face was red as a beet... He yelled at my ex right in front of me!!! Saying if you lie to me I can't help you, and there is no defense for the contempt charge! You said you had the money and all you had to do was mail it!!!! Do you realize that now you have to pay for her attorney? And then he stomped away…. It was after this that the attorneys talked to the judge and we won hands down…..Can his attorney get in trouble for his client's lies???? After talking to the judge his attorney was even more upset he pointed at my ex in the court called his name loud and said OUTSIDE! We didn't see either one after that.........

PS.... I don't want his attorney to get in trouble....I was just wondering the reason for his attorney taking the tongue lashing so personally.........
