California.

If my husband is covered under my employer provided health insurance and is being billed by hospitals/doctors for the balance that was not covered under the unsurance (80/20 plan) can these hospitals/doctors sue me personally because I am the insurance policy holder if the bills are not paid? I have never signed anything saying that I would be responsible for any of the bills but am now starting to get bills direct from these people. Also, can they report these unpaid bills to the credit agencies even though the bills are in my husbands name, not mine?

thank you very much.
