I was told by a third party that about six years ago, my exhusband my have committed a crime that until now I had no knowledge of. After our divorce he was driving a vehicle that was registered in my name. We had agreed that he and his new wife would pay the payments and insurance, and would shortly be getting a loan for the car, so that it would be out of my name. I was phoned one morning that the car had been stolen while they were in TN. Based on the police report I filed with the insurance company. They settled and I gave the check to my ex-husband, since he had paid the payments, and insurance. If indeed he did have the vehicle stolen, could I be prosecuted also?
