Can I break my lease

I really need to move out of my apartment ASAP! I've been living in a corporate run apartment complex for 5 months of a year lease with my boyfriend. We're on the lease together and I really need out. Things have really gone bad. Is there anything I can do? What are my options? Help!! Thanks.
