Is it possible to contest a divorce if one of the parties withheld information such as 401k holdings and accounts that were unknown to the other party and also gave false information concerning the debts that were owed so that they would come out with the house and other material items in the end? All of this was done to my mother after being married for 21 years and she had no representation in this divorce because she could not afford it and didn't ask for any help from us, therefore she didn't know anything going on and didn't even sign any final papers either. I think the whole thing is very sneaky and would like to try to help her now. Is there any way I can do this? Oh and we live in Texas. Thanks for any help.

My response:

Yes, if material facts were withheld, and he signed to those facts as being true, under penalty of perjury, then in that instance, a settlement agreement can be voided and the issues re-visited by the court.
