Can I force asset sales to collect debt?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Illinois.

If I successfully get a judgment against somebody in court, but they don't pay it either because they don't want to or are unable to, what can I go after besides wage garnishments?

Can I force the sale of their home and/or other property? The debt is not secured by anything, but is rather a judgment for wrong doing. What if the person is asset rich and cash/income poor?

Illinois is a Judgment Creditor friendly state. What you do is assert a citation to discover assets aginst the JC and anyone else you have reasonable belief is holding assets of the JC that could be used to saisfy the debt. The citation has a twofold effect (a) freezes assets pending release of the citaion (b) becomes the basis for a debtors examination to determine what's out there. Then, you can garnish wage, attache bank accounts, lien on real estate, forclose.
