I'm a US citizen and I married my Brazilian wife a little over a year ago. When we met she had been living in the US for 10 years, her four month temporary visa having long since expired.
She had left her first husband, who she had married in Brazil and was with for 18 years (both here in the US and abroad) a few years before we met. Shortly after their separation, he moved back to Brazil. It turns out they have never gotten a divorce. A few months ago she went back to Brazil for a few weeks and *still* did not file for divorce.
I'm wondering if I have grounds for an annulment in the state of Massachusetts?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.
