Hey IAAL, ever considered a job with Hallmark?
To smcgarry, I'm not bitter...I just think that in 99% of the cases, parents should be allowed to raise their children as they see fit, without interference from grandparents. It's wonderful when a grandparent is willing to step in and take over when the parents can't or won't take care of their kids--as a teacher I've seen some wonderful grandparents do just that. But that's not about "grandparent's rights", that's about "the best interest of the children." What I don't think grandparents should be able to do is force themselves in when the parents don't want them there. And (disclaimer follows) that is strictly a personal opinon, not a legal one.
