Can I get kicked out?

What is the name of your state? North Carolina

I am currently 17 living with my father, and I turn 18 in December. He keeps threatening to kick me out when I'm 18, but is that legal if I'm still attending school? I don't mind being kicked out if I have a degree, it's just if I do get kicked out, I'll have no financial backing and will become homeless. What are my options?

**A: the options are to listen to everything he says. He is god. There is no law that states that a parent can not kick a child out of the home if the child is of legal age and has not finished high school.

If he keeps threatening to kick you out, you must be giving him reasons to become upset with you.

I agree with HG, don't do anything to pi$$ him off and you'll probably be alright.

OKay one I know how it is to be threatened to be kicked out and no not all the time does it have to deal with you when you get threatened........alot of the time its just the rent has no one to take it on but you IM in college hardly ever home except on the weeknights so I can do my homework and sleep and I still get threatened of being kicked out because my mom had to wash the dishes 3 hours eariler before I got that were dirtied while I was at school.......So no there doesn't always have to be a your getting yelled at because of this that and the other..........Im at home for the same reason I pretty much need a place to stay till Im on my feet......OKay here's what you do some states actually have it set up to where you can leave home at 18 but can't get put out till 21.......Because in some states parents are still responsible for your actions till you are twenty-one......go do a little research though its aggervating I do believe it would be under juvie law and just kinda skim...........
