Can I hire anyone to do anything about this?

Three years ago I participated in making some videos. The person I did this for was a friend and I unknowingly signed contracts that allowed him to sell the videos and put them on the internet. I want them taken off of the website and no longer sold, can I do anything about this? What are my rights? Desperate. Tampa, Florida

There may be a way out if there the contracts had any restrictions on his selling the videos or putting them on the Internet and if he is violating those restrictions.

If the contract was not valid, there may be another way out. You say that you unknowingly signed the contracts. What did you not know when you signed?

Thank you for responding to my question. Unfortunately there are no restrictions keeping him from selling the videos. I know this now because I went over the contract a few months ago with him when I asked for him to stop selling this as a personal favor. I didn't know what I was signing and didn't care at the time. Is there anything that you can suggest now that you know this information?

Assent to contract

The contract can be rescinded (terminated) if you agreed to it because of mistake, misrepresentation, duress, or undue influence. If you think any of those applied, maybe you can terminate the contract. If you were not mistaken about the agreement, or if the other person did not misrepresent it or subject you to duress or undue influence, I think you are legally bound by the agreement.
