What is the name of your state?New Jersey, I want to file a Chapter 7, however, I have private loans from my undergraduate school which I don't want to be included in the bankruptcy. I plan to attend medical school. I already have about $100,000 in school loans (mostly federal, but some private). I know that including a private school loan in the bankruptcy can hurt my ability to get school loans in the future. Can I file a Chapter 7 and leave out certain debts (i.e. my private undergraduate loans)?
